From Ideas to Reality

Hello everyone! Maizi here again!

The weather has been incredibly hot lately, which means I am continuing my tradition of avoiding the outdoors whenever possible. Thankfully, things have been going well, and I have been keeping busy with work and creative projects.

One thing that has really helped me recently is starting a small notebook that I covered with stickers. It has become my place to write down ideas, reminders, and little bursts of inspiration before they disappear. It may seem like a small habit, but it has made a big difference. Instead of forgetting ideas, I can always come back to them when I am ready.

The next challenge, of course, is bringing those ideas to life. I often find myself thinking, "I know what I want to make, I just don't quite have the skills yet." One example is sticker sheets. I have plenty of concepts sketched out, but I am still working on improving my drawing skills so I can create the designs I envision. Practice has become part of my daily routine, and I even have a second notebook dedicated to sketches and creative experiments. It has been exciting to see those pages slowly fill up, even if turning traditional drawings into digital artwork has been more challenging than I expected.

On the content creation side, I have been having a lot of fun creating posts, carousels, reels, and videos for the ACI YouTube channel, Instagram, and my own Maizi platforms. Looking back at some of my older work, I can already see how much my editing has improved. I have also become much more comfortable recording voice overs, which is something I am really proud of.

One creative goal I have been thinking about is incorporating music into my projects, whether that means learning more about music production or creating simple tracks of my own. It is something I would love to explore in the future, but I also want to be mindful not to take on too much at once. Creative growth is exciting, but I have learned that it is just as important to enjoy the process as it is to keep moving forward.

Finally, during our most recent studio meeting, we talked about the possibility of creating more vlog style content. I am really excited about that idea, especially because it will give me even more opportunities to experiment with editing and storytelling.
