Update 🖤

Today I was going to talk a bit about what's been happening in ACI and where I'm at with all of this. We've all been working sooo hard behind the scenes, meeting deadlines, brainstorming and getting everything ready for the year! A new partner, Krystle, has joined recently too and with our busy seasons coming we've REALLY gotten things rolling! We have talked and made a rough plan for the rest of this year and beginning of 2026. Though I'm not a studio with the collective helping with brainstorming or doing the tasks has been really rejuvenating.

SOCIAL MEDIA

I think its been about two months since we started scheduling posts 15 days ahead for ACI on Facebook and Instagram. As the assistant plus being in charge of the main ACI social medias this idea was suggested to me as a way to make things easier. When first starting I would manually put in a post or reel and the descriptions everyday. I didn't realize how much work it was to do that especially as a person who is never on social media. We were testing a new plan which was having 3 posts/reels a day to gather engagement and more exposure. 

When this new plan was pitched to me from a reference it would take about two to three hours max to schedule everything. In my mind I thought it would a whole month of posts aka 60 posts to schedule. How the heck was I gonna do that in two/three hours?!! Oh well, I'll try it and see how it works. It ended up taking me 2 days because of how slow everything was uploading after making the posts. Only after I finished this first round did I ask was it supposed to be a month worth of posts. ANYWAYS I misunderstood, went crazy and it was only supposed to be a week or so of scheduled posts. That makes sense! Eventually, I limited it to 15 days in advance 😂. It has been going well and is much easier now and part of my weekly schedule.

EDITING

In the process of getting all the social media stuff scheduled and done. I started editing more, took over any editing for ACI and some videos for individual studios. During this time, we started an ACI Youtube and each studio has individual channels. I have one too for behind the scenes work and my interests. That has been a ride! I have no prior experience or training with editing but tried for fun when streaming a little beforehand. This new task gave me an opportunity to really dive into it without being wishy washy. Of course, I did more research and have started using DaVinci Resolve as my editing program. There is ALOT on there for the free software which has been great. Plus if there is something I want to do I can use Youtube for help!

Editing has been taking most of my time other than my full-time job. I knew it was time consuming but sometimes a whole day would pass 💀. I'm learning new tricks like blurring, overlapping clips, B-rolls, talking heads, etc. half the words I didn't even know what it meant. The amount of videos and shorts I did were crazy because I wanted to make sure one was ready everyday under all the socials. WOW. I think with that and doing the scheduled post there were two days I couldn't sit in front of my desk anymore!

I'm slowly getting faster and learning my own style of editing. It really shines on my individual Youtube and it's been fun! Though suuuper busy with everything it's very rewarding!

SKOOL

On top of all of the new things we have a new community in Skool 🎉! This is a place for all our art, helping each other out and sharing lessons. There are a number of lessons already that help beginners or experience artists or anyone wanting to try it out. I've been participating as much as I can and will be trying out the lessons too. Art has been a hobby of mine but once again I have a tendency to switch between my hobbies. The lesson I've start is the Art Foundations 101. It's VERY comprehensive and I've been learning as I go! It provides a way to practice every week too!

In general now that everything is coming together I am going to schedule more art in between recordings, editing, social media and blogging. I hope you all stay for the journey of ACI and all the studios! I'm going to post a picture of some art practicing I did a couple years ago.
