Article: August Updates from ACI
August Updates from ACI
đź“° Community, Classes & Conscious Choices
At Art Collective International, we’re not just creating~ we’re constantly growing, shifting, and listening. Here are a few studio-wide updates we wanted to share with you this month:
🎓 Skool Community: Courses, Prompts & Deeper Learning
Our Skool platform is live and thriving~ and we’re thrilled to say we now have 14 courses live, covering everything from foundational techniques to advanced creative practices. (More updates, videos, and images coming.)Â
We’ve also launched our 52 Weeks of Prompts—a free, ongoing creative series meant to support and inspire artists of all levels. Whether you're a complete beginner or a working professional, these prompts are here to stretch your imagination and give you something grounding to return to each week.
In addition, we’ve started to roll out paid in-depth courses for those who want more focused insight into specific areas of the art world, like preparing for gallery shows and creating cohesive portfolios.
More than anything, community continues to be the heartbeat of what we do. Skool isn’t just a platform~ it’s a place to ask questions, get feedback, find encouragement, and connect with fellow creatives. We believe that making art in isolation can only take you so far. Together, we go further.
📦 Packaging Shift: Moving Forward Sustainably
In alignment with our values, we’re proud to share that we’ve officially started using eco-friendly packaging through our trusted partner EcoEnclose.
Now that we’ve finally cycled through the last of our initial shipping stock, almost all new orders are being packaged with recyclable, reusable, or compostable materials. If you've received a recent order, you may have already seen the difference~ and felt the care that goes into each step.
Sustainability has always been a core tenet of ACI. This isn’t a marketing checkbox; it’s a promise we make to the earth and to you.
While we’re committed to sustainability, our first priority will always be protecting your artwork. In some rare cases~ particularly for fragile or large pieces~ we may still use materials like styrofoam or bubble wrap if there’s no safer alternative currently available. We always aim to reuse or repurpose these materials whenever possible and encourage you to do the same. Our goal is to strike the best balance between environmental care and ensuring your artwork arrives in perfect condition.
đź“… Event Status: Paused, but Not Stopped
We’ve hit a bit of a standstill when it comes to upcoming events and pop-ups. A number of venues and organizers haven’t gotten back to us, and while that can be frustrating, it’s also part of the ebb and flow of small business life.
We’re using this time to regroup, pivot, and refocus. Rest assured, we’re still actively looking for opportunities to show up in person when the right ones arise. And in the meantime, we’re putting that same energy into our online presence, Skool community, and creative development behind the scenes as well as the potential for ACI's own pop-up events.Â
As always, thank you for being a part of this journey with us. Whether you’re taking a course, sharing our work, placing an order, or just cheering us on from afar—you are part of the collective, too.
With care,
The Artists of Art Collective International
